What moves Jesus?

Do you ever wonder what moves Jesus? What makes Him lean forward on His throne? What grabs His attention? What excites Him? How does He want to be worshipped, honored, and lifted up? I have been thinking a lot about that lately. Lord, what do you like? What moves you? I want to move your heart, Lord! I want to shake the foundations of Heaven with worship!! I want to pour my heart out to you. I do not want to go through the motions, put on my best look of worship on Sundays, to look all Holy with an empty worship, or not honor you the way YOU want! What will get His attention? What would cause Jesus, the King of Kings, to lean forward on His throne and we have His attention?

I don’t think many people have thought about that. Even worse, many could care less what His desires are. They want to appear Holy, to look like a worshipper, to look like a Christian should look. However, that is not what called us to be. He would never want us to have the look without the depth. He wants to draw closer to you. He wants a deeper relationship with all of us. He wants to love on you and for you to love on Him. He has called us to be a reflection of His glory on the Earth. To bring Honor and Glory to Him in all that we do. We will never honor Him without His desires, His heart, and His glory. The only way to do that is to make Him the priority in our lives. When we make Him the priority, everything changes.

What moves Him? Ask Him. Lord, what moves you? What can I do to move your heart? The best part is it can be different for each person. It is personable. This is where the one-on-one relationship comes in. This is where the love grows, the closeness grows, the desire for Him grows, the thirst for more of Him grows. No more normal. No more going through the motions. No more looking spiritual for the people around you. No more masks. When you get to that point, you can’t live without Him. You don’t want to go one more day, one more hour, one more minute, one more SECOND, without more of Him!

Today’s Prayer

Jesus, we love you!! We love you, my King. I ask that you give us your heart, give us your eyes, give us your desires so that our desires no longer matter. Jesus, show us what moves you. Show us what pleases you. Show us what moves your heart. We live to please you Jesus. Make us one, in Jesus name.
